~Christmas is here~

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family..Our day was spent with the family and we all enjoyed some  quiet time after all the food was put away and the dishes was done....We all enjoyed just watching football games and movies the rest of the afternoon..I've been working on Christmas decorating for the past couple of weeks and thought I would share a few displays around our olde homestead...

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend...Stay safe...take care and try to stay warm if your out side putting up Christmas decorations..

~~**Winterberry**~~

Happy Saturday everyone....I hope all is well and everyone is anticipating Thanksgiving fast approaching...I can't believe how fast this year has gone by..It just seems like summer was just here now Thanksgiving and Christmas is upon us...I guess its just a hectic time of year for everyone....I thought I would share some pictures of my first harvest of Winterberrie's that I went and picked this afternoon...There seems to be an abundant amount of berries this year compared to previous years...
The weather is fairly nice here today so I did get my two Colonial boxes done up with greens and winter berries..

These two pictures are of the front door...
These two pictures are of the sun room door...I don't use either door to go in and out of the house so I done a large arrangement in both boxes...
It's been awhile since I have posted anything and I do apologize for that...I've just been doing allot of cleaning and baking for the holidays...I did get my 12 ft. Christmas tree up and decorated..That was a task in itself..
I didn't realize just how large that tree was...I had to move my dry sink to another area and put the tree where my dry sink always set...Its the only place in the olde homestead that the tree would fit...So with all that said I want to thank everyone for stopping by and wish you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving...

*****CHRISTMAS PILLOWS*****

that I have been working on the past couple of weeks...Christmas is fast approaching and  I thought I better get on the ball and get these pillows done for my Christmas decor..The first two pillows was a free pattern from http://www.libertystar.typepad.com/.
I added a year on the second one to give it alittle different look. This one is a cross stitch patterns from out of one of my holiday books..I apologize for the last four patterns...I can't seem to remember where I printed these off of..If  they belong to anyone out there let me know and I will gladly give you credit for the pattern..My mind is just going blank right now...

Thanks to all of you for stopping in for a visit...May god bless and take care..

~~Blowing in the wind~~

Happy Monday everyone...It's alittle windy here today so I decided I would hang some of my Christmas stitchery out on the clothes line to dry..As you can see in the pictures the wind is blowing so much I doubled up on the clothes pins so I didn't have to chase my stitchery all over the yard......
Living out in the country as we do no one really slams on there brakes while there driving by thinking to themselves.. look how dirty that ladies laundry is...Believe me I've hung some really grungy looking things out on my line at one time or another....Thankfully no one has wrecked yet....
Everyone have a wonderful Monday...

A sneak peek....

of the Summer kitchen remodeling...

I added bead board to the inserts of the shelves..painted them white then sanded them and stained them with minwax..walnut stain...
Sewed two sets of homespun curtains...black and cream checked...then pinned them up with black safety pins...

Finished it by adding my glass jars...and black colonial plates...

This shelf I done the same way...added bead board...painted it white then sanded and stained it with walnut stain..I set some of my collection of old jars with zinc lids on these shelves..
Thanks for stopping by for a visit..I appreciate all the nice comments that you wonderful women leave for me...I need to get back to work with the remodel...trying to get it all done this week..
Hubby left this job up to me so I am running the power tools...painting...and cleaning ..He just shakes his head and gives me those looks when I mention changing something...But he lets me do it and usually don't say to much...So thanks again for popping in...have a great Saturday..whats left of it and don't forget to change your clocks back tonight...we gain an hour of sleep...
