~~All in her glory...12ft. Christmas tree~~Part 1~~

This is her standing proudly in the only spot in the house that she would fit...

The top hitting the cathedral ceiling.

Close up of the ornaments....90% of the tree is handmade ornaments that I have made over the years..I draped burlap from top to bottom using it as the garland...

This is hubby's Christmas Carol book when he was just a little fellow.
There's to many pictures to post so your all welcome to come back tomorrow or Wednesday for part 2...Hubby and I have a Christmas party to attend tomorrow evening so I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to post part 2 or not....
Thanks for stopping in for a visit...Thank you all for the wonderful comments left for me....Be safe where  ever you are in this nasty weather that's gripping the Nation......Take care and Happy Holidays...

~~CHRISTMAS 2010..THE OLDE HOMESTEAD~~

Since we had are first snowfall today I went outside and took some photos of our home all ready for Christmas...Just a few pictures of Home Sweet Home...
I added burlap sacks with greens and winterberries on all the windows for something different this year..
I have electric candles in all the windows...flood lights on different areas of the front of the house and hung burlap sacks filled with greens and winterberries on all the windows instead of swags this year..

Summer Kitchen...Christmas 2010

I thought I would share a few pictures of my Summer kitchen all decked out for the holidays...Now remember this is the kitchen that I done a major overhaul on a few months ago...I added bead board for the back splash...then painted my counter tops..using Peppercorn paint from Caromal Colors... I'm proud to say hubby didn't help me one bit..I'm really excited in how it turned out...it looks like a whole different kitchen..I actually got the idea of painting my kitchen counter tops from seeing how Karen ..catskillmtnprims had done hers..She's a member on http://www.aprimitiveplace.org/ and they published her makeover in the first issue of A Primitive Place magazine......So I'm giving all the credit of my kitchen makeover to Karen for giving me the inspiration to tackle such a job...
I'll post some more pictures of the entire counter top area tomorrow or Friday...Thanks for stopping by...Have a great day and stay warm where ever you are...

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend...Stay safe...take care and try to stay warm if your out side putting up Christmas decorations..

~~**Winterberry**~~

Happy Saturday everyone....I hope all is well and everyone is anticipating Thanksgiving fast approaching...I can't believe how fast this year has gone by..It just seems like summer was just here now Thanksgiving and Christmas is upon us...I guess its just a hectic time of year for everyone....I thought I would share some pictures of my first harvest of Winterberrie's that I went and picked this afternoon...There seems to be an abundant amount of berries this year compared to previous years...
The weather is fairly nice here today so I did get my two Colonial boxes done up with greens and winter berries..

These two pictures are of the front door...
These two pictures are of the sun room door...I don't use either door to go in and out of the house so I done a large arrangement in both boxes...
It's been awhile since I have posted anything and I do apologize for that...I've just been doing allot of cleaning and baking for the holidays...I did get my 12 ft. Christmas tree up and decorated..That was a task in itself..
I didn't realize just how large that tree was...I had to move my dry sink to another area and put the tree where my dry sink always set...Its the only place in the olde homestead that the tree would fit...So with all that said I want to thank everyone for stopping by and wish you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving...
Prim hugs to all,

*****CHRISTMAS PILLOWS*****

that I have been working on the past couple of weeks...Christmas is fast approaching and  I thought I better get on the ball and get these pillows done for my Christmas decor..The first two pillows was a free pattern from http://www.libertystar.typepad.com/.
I added a year on the second one to give it alittle different look. This one is a cross stitch patterns from out of one of my holiday books..I apologize for the last four patterns...I can't seem to remember where I printed these off of..If  they belong to anyone out there let me know and I will gladly give you credit for the pattern..My mind is just going blank right now...

Thanks to all of you for stopping in for a visit...May god bless and take care..
