He was a stray that came to our home 9 years ago this summer...
He's been having health problems over the past winter and we knew his time with us
was coming to an end..
We loved him like one of our children and he is going to be
greatly missed..
Thanks for letting me cry for this little man that was a big part of our lives..
He was and still is my little boy...

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beagle Duke! They are like our children and are a very special part of ours lives. My 10 yr old Beagle Sam has been having more frequent seizures lately and I am just afraid that one of these days we are going to lose him too :( Many hugs to you!

I am so sorry you lost your Duke. I am sure he knew he was loved very much! Pets are a blessing in our busy lives. They keep us calm, make us laugh and are unconditional.

I am so sorry about your Duke, I know what you are going through. My lab Lilly passed away a few weeks ago and I still miss her so much.
Animals are such a gift and a part of our families. May the wonderful memories that you have of Duke help you through this difficult time.

Trena, I am so sorry about Duke. It just hurts so much when we lose them because they love us so unconditionally. There is a wonderful book by Cynthia Rylant, "When Dogs go to Heaven". I recommend it. It is a childrens book, but so sweet.

So sorry, it is so hard to lose our pets, as you say, they are just one of the family. I'm sure he knew he was loved and was very happy.
They come into our lives. We share a bond and then they are gone. The memories are always with us.
Trena, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Duke will be waiting for you and all the family he had grown to love. I sincerely believe that Heaven has a place for our beloved pets. I fully expect to be with all those that I have loved and lost. As Dr. Seuss said,

So sorry to hear about Duke. We lost of Chow/Great Pyrenees after being in our family for 12 years. They sure become a big big part of the family don't they. You are in my thoughts!
