Canister set redo

I had this old canister set stored away for quite awhile now and seen it the other day while looking for something else....Thought I would give it a makeover since is seems that is all I have been doing lately....Painted the base and lids black...left them dry for about 30 minutes and then sanded them all over....Then took walnut stain and rubbed them all over with an old sock(great to use for staining) and left them dry out in the sun for acouple of hours....

After the stain was completely dry I washed the canisters and added on my prim tags....I had done these tags up aday last week so already had the ready to use.

This is how they turned out....

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post and alittle apprehensive about what to say or what not to say.

I have followed several blogs over the years and thought I would give it a try.

I have been a avid crafter for the last 10 years or so....I started to sew in 7th grade ,Home Economics class..been sewing off and on since then.......I love the old look in everything I make..the older the better...I came across a website..www.createaprim.com and tried some of the crafting recipes they have posted and fell in love with the out come of grunging up just about anything you wanted to make look old...

I want to post pics of alot of the prim crafts when I get the hang of this..
