Wall of Gameboards........

Hi all prim friends...I hope all is well with everyone...We had a gorgeous day here today on Coveredbridge Road...the high was 65 and its expected to get up in the 80's over the weekend...Warm weather is finally here.....With the sun shinning bright today I got to get outside and finish up my gameboards that I had started earlier in the week.......I was going to hang them in the hallway downstairs but decided to hang them in the hallway leading back to the Master bedroom...I took one of the old barn boards that came off my grandparents barn....hammered masonery nails into it and hung pip berries with rusty stairs  on it for now...centered it between all the gameboards...I also took two of my black stars and hung them between the top three gameboards to give the wall more color....Thanks for stopping by for a visit....take care to all and Prim hugs,    Trena

Primitive/Colonial chair

Hello all prim friends...I hope all is well with everyone....I was looking thru the new edition of Country Sampler last evening ...for anyone that doesn't know...Jen from http://www.taylorsfarmhouseattic.blogspot.com/ home is in this issue... Congratulations Jen your home is gorgeous...anyway what I was saying Irvin's Catalog layout caught my eye with the Colonial rocker ....I have two pieces of furniture that belonged to my grandparents that was passed down to me and the more I looked at the print of the Colonial rocker from Irvin's I thought the print of my grandparents furniture looked similar to it...I ran down stairs to my Familyroom to look at the chair...where I have it proudly seating...and it does resemble alittle bit of the material on the Colonial Rocker...The rocker is stored away in our garage so now I am going to have to dig it out...you just never know what you really have in your garage until a light bulb goes off in your head when you see something similar displayed somewhere...
This is the layout of Irvin's Catalog that is in Country Sampler with the Colonial Rocker...

This is my chair that belonged to my grandparents..
I add my blue Colonial throw on this pic...
I added my cream throw to this pic...

When I brought the two pieces of furniture home I cleaned them really well with my Bissel steam cleaner  ...My daughter has been wanting this chair for along time but I am holding off until she has her own home then I think it will be proudly passed down to her for in her home..
This afternoon I think I am going to be out in the garage looking for my rocker so maybe tomorrow I will post a pic of it...
Everyone have a great day....thanks for stopping by...

Olde Farmstead signs....

Hello all prim friends...
It's going to be a gorgeous day here in Central Pa. today...high 50's low 60's...
It's been cold and rainy the past couple of days so today I'm going to be out in the garage making some signs...taking advantage of this nice weather...
With spring finally here I decided to make myself a couple of Olde Farmstead signs for the outside of my home..
I made one barn red over black for outside the french doors for the sunroom...and the second one I made Montgomery umber over black.....its hung in the familyroom for now...I want to get my back porch washed down and cleaned before I hang it outside for summer...

So that will just about be it for today....I have so much I want to get done today since the weather is nice..
I need to get my butt in gear and make more prarie dolls..I got a call this morning for another order of dolls
for a nice lady for in her shop....so I wish everyone a nice day....thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedules to stop by for a visit...
Take care everyone,

Doing some tweaking....

I was doing some cleaning and simplifying downstairs yesterday evening and decided to take my dry sink out of the Summer kitchen and set it up against the stone fireplace wall...

Then took a old tea kettle...filled it with some artificial hydrangea's..set it on the top shelf and set my antique crock on the lower shelf with two candlesticks and left it at that..Just a simple look....

Wishing everyone a great day..
