~Hutch makeover and a few stills~

Hello everyone...another beautiful fall day here today....I've been getting caught up on some of the makeovers that I've wanted to get done while the weather was still warm .This makeover is on my hutch that I had painted black last summer and the more I looked at it the more I was  dissatisfied with it...so I decided to brighten up the shelves alittle bit..

I got out my valspar paint  and gave them three coats of beige paint then sanded them to give them a worn look and applied a coat of minwax, walnut stain to darken them up a bit..

And the next three photos are stills from the hutch...

~What is yet to come~

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful fall weather we are having...the mornings are cool and crisp...the leaves blowing in the wind..just a time to stop and enjoy the wonderful world that we live in..

Sorry I have been missing in blog land these past few months...As I said before we are helping out an elderly neighbor get his property cleaned  up and that's been pretty much all summer long so I really haven't had the time to sit and  chat for very long..I just popped in and seen how everyone was doing and then back outside to work..

I thought I would share a few pictures of what I am going to use on a project that I have had to put on the back burner.....I ordered  from Country Living Artisan's Collection two 32 oz. Textured Base coat...Peppercorn  paint to use for this project...I just picked it up from  the post office this morning and I am hoping by this weekend I can get started ...

So stay tune for my big reveal in the next couple of weeks and also a fall giveaway that I am going to have next week...

~~~Birthday Gift~~~

I thought I would share a few pictures of the gift I received from my son for my birthday tomorrow...I've been wanting to get an area rug for in our Living room for sometime now...The green carpet is so over whelming ..believe you me this color was not my choice but at the time the house was being built it was a really good price.When I seen this oriental rug on sale and it had all the colors that I was looking for..I knew then how much of a difference it would make our Living room look and I was so right...It just gave the room a whole different look...which was what I was trying to accomplish.......

~~~A FEW MAKEOVERS``

Its a cool rainy Sunday here today in Central Pa...quite a difference then this past month temperatures...most days were in the mid to high 90's..

I thought I would share some makeovers that I done yesterday on two of the benches that I've been wanting to get done before summer is over....
This bench goes with the drop leaf table that I have in my Summer Kitchen....
I painted it black and set it in my sun room for now until I decide where I want to put it...

This bench I bought a few weeks ago at a yard sale for $30.00...

I painted it black and put it in the Family room  for  now...I'm sure it won't stay there but for now its serving its purpose...
