Thrift Store Tuesday

I was thinking about doing something everyday to contribute to my blog and here is what I came up with....

Monday - Makeovers
Tuesday - Thrift Store finds
Wednesday - Whatcha Workin on
Thursday - Trash To Treasure
Friday - TGIF
Saturday - Stitching Projects
Sunday - Sewing Projects


These might change along the way......Everyday brings a new experience so I will go with these for now...

Rainy day in Pa.

It's Monday again...hope everyone had a great weekend...It was beautiful weather here in Pa. all weekend long..temperature was in the 70's....

I painted my entertainment center today to go with the new and improved family room downstairs.....With the Umber walls now done the entertainment center stuck out like a sore thumb so I just painted it black in certain areas....Not all over....

I washed my windows and mini blinds and put my Country House curtains back up....It's amazing how dirty those windows get over the winter........I painted my Corner Hutch black w/cream shelves and put it in the front corner of the family room.....

While my paint was drying I worked on some stitchery that I had already done....Putting them in some black frames.....I still haven't decided where I want to put them yet....but believe you me I will find a place.

Where did this week go to.

It's Thursday already, I can't believe how the days just fly by...It's beautiful weather here today so I am going to wash some of my quilts and put them out on the line to dry in the warm sun......

Just finishing up on my family room downstairs....Everything is falling in place....walls three fourths done and I have to give my entertainment center another coat of paint... I can't wait to get furniture back where it belongs and accessories up on the walls........

Everyone have a great day...I'm off to do some laundry and enjoy the warm weather..

This will be a short post....I'm still working on the Family room downstairs,finishing up on the painting of the walls. I can't believe how much different the room looks already....I should have done this long before this....Everyone that has seen it so far just falls in love with the color..total transformation...

This is a picture of my mantel in my Living room that I have changed for spring and summer....I decorate it for the four seasons....Well better get to my painting....the room is not going to get done with me setting here....

Happy April Fool's day .....cold and rainy here in Pa today....I started remodeling my familyroom downstairs yesterday...Finally talked my DH into letting me paint over the paneling that's been down there I think forever....This pics is what it looks like now...going to change dramatically within the next week...

I bought paint from Lowes ..Valspar...Montgomery umber....is what color I am going to use on the walls....Everything has to be primed first,otherwise the paint won't adhere to the paneling.

Well I am off to paint so everyone have a great day..
