Happy New Year...

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room,
drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe
this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives..not
looking for flaws, but for potential..... Ellen Goodman..

Have a Happy And Blessed New Year...

Been Doing Some Stitching....

Happy Thursday everyone..
I hope you all had a Blessed Christmas like we did here on
Covered Bridge Road..
The count down to New Years is upon us..
It's going to be pretty quiet in our home..no parties..
no celebrations..just the two puppies to keep us company..

The kids are off doing there own thing so DH and I are just
content to stay at home and watch TV with the puppies..
Wearing my comfy PJ's..a cup of hot chocolate and a needle and
thread in my hand is my idea of a wonderful evening..

I've done allot of stitching over this past year and just never finished
up on some of the them..So a New Year's resolution is to finish the
one's I have started before I start a new one...We'll see how that goes..
I can't promise anything but I am going to try...

With that said I'll leave you with pictures of the ones that need
to be done...These designs are my own..

These ones are going on ditty bags..
The two on the right are primitivebetty's design..
Country Rustic Primitives...
A few more of mine...
These three  I'm not sure about..so if these design belongs to any of you ladies just let me know. For the life of me I can't remember..
This one I done over last summer...
Thanks for stopping in for a visit..
Come back when you get time out of your busy schedules..

Happy New Year ...stay safe and take care..

Christmas pics...

Happy Monday everyone..
I hope all is well and your staying warm..
It's bitterly cold here today..low in the teens last night..
I am so ready for summer to come, enough of this cold weather..

I am so far behind in my Christmas decorating this year due to remodeling our
Sun room..I just don't have the time to do as much decorating as I usually do.
Our 12ft tree didn't go up either ...with two new puppies I wasn't taking
the chance of it coming down on top of them..

I wanted to post  a few pictures of my cook stove that I have
decorated for Christmas this year.
Normally I don't decorate it but I was rearranging in my Summer
Kitchen and decided to take the wooden box off the kitchen counter and put them on the cook stove.

I then placed my 3ft.tree in my goat cart and set it alongside
the stove.....

Thanks for stopping in for a visit.
Hopefully I can get time to post some more
Christmas pictures .
In the mean time stay save..stay warm and take care..

Christmas Mantel

Happy December everyone.
I finished up on my Mantel today after going out and
harvesting some Winterberries ..
I started by placing three of my Old World Santa's that are different heights in the
center of the mantel..Draped my garland with two set of white lights across the full
length...I then placed my harvest of  Winterberries in the garland.
I had bought six bags of Ocean Spray Cranberries while shopping for Thanksgiving and
strung four of those bags on heavy black quilting thread..Draped them at different lengths across
the front of the mantel and my Christmas Mantel was done.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit to look at my
Christmas Mantel.
Come back when time permits to see more Christmas pictures from
the Olde Homestead...
